§ 16-1. Race track and jai alai fronton funds.
The racetrack funds and jai alai fronton funds payable to Franklin County under the provisions of Chapters 550 and 551, Florida Statutes, will be allocated annually as follows:
(1)
The first three hundred six thousand dollars ($306,000.00) shall be allocated to and paid directly by the state treasurer to the district school board of Franklin County for school purposes. All or any part of these funds may be used by the district school board for the payment of the principal of and interest on bonds or certificates of indebtedness which have been heretofore or which may be hereafter issued by the district school board from time to time for the purpose of paying the cost of capital projects for school purposes.
(2)
The balance of such funds shall be allocated to and paid directly by the state treasurer to the Board of County Commissioners of Franklin County.
