§ 4-26. Designation of enforcement officers.
(a)
The board of county commissioners is hereby authorized to designate certain of its employees in the animal control division as enforcement officers along with the county sheriffs department and division of code enforcement. The training and qualifications of the employees for such designation shall be determined by the board.
(b)
The director of animal control, any animal control officer, code enforcement and law enforcement shall have the authority to enforce this article. The director of animal control and each person designated as an animal control officer pursuant to F.S. ch. 828, may issue to the known owner or keeper of such animal a warning notice or citation as defined in section 4-6.
