§ 5.5-12. Minimum wiring size; window sill height; penalty.

  • (a)

    No electric wiring smaller than twelve gauge may be installed;

    (b)

    Windows in structures constructed on pilings, and all windows the bottom of which is more than thirty (30) inches above grade shall be at least eighteen (18) inches above finished floor level; provided, that this paragraph shall not apply if the windows are protected by at least eighteen (18) inches of safety glass, or suitable grid or bar system for the bottom of the window.

    (c)

    A violation of the 2010 Florida Building Code as amended, shall be a misdemeanor, punishable by a fine not to exceed five hundred dollars ($500.00) or confinement in the Franklin County jail not to exceed sixty (60) days.
