§ 5.5-26. Construction requirements—Generally.

Construction within the coastal building zone and on coastal barrier islands shall meet the requirements of this chapter. All structures shall be designed so as to minimize damage to life, property, and the natural environment.

Assistance in determining the design parameters to minimize such damage may be found in the reference documents listed in the Southern Standard Building Code.
