Chapter 5. BOATS, DOCKS, WATERWAYS AND BEACHES |
Article I. IN GENERAL |
§ 5-4. Airboats.
(a)
It shall be unlawful for any person to operate an airboat for thirty (30) days before the opening of the wild waterfowl hunting season and extending through said hunting season and thirty (30) days following the closing date of said hunting season, in the following areas:
From the east side of the Apalachicola River at its mouth where it empties into Apalachicola Bay, eastward to the mouth of Whiskey George Creek at the north end of West Bayou, and inside of one-quarter mile from shore at any point on the north side of said bay, within the two (2) end limits described, except travel through channels in going in and coming out of Whiskey George Creek, Sam's Creek, East River, Big St. Marks River, Little St. Marks River, and bays, bayous, and creeks intervening between the mouth of Whiskey George Creek and the Apalachicola River.
(b)
As used in this section the word "airboat" shall be any boat whose motion is activated by engines and propellers, similar to those used by airplanes, mounted above the surface of the water.
